Club45 is a community-focused football league designed for adults aged 45 and over. We offer fun, friendly, small-sided games in a flexible format that fits around your life. Whether you're returning to football or trying it for the first time, Club45 is for you.

Anyone aged 45 or older. All fitness levels and abilities are welcome – from ex-players to total beginners. The focus is on enjoyment, not competition.

We have 2 different options:

Games are played most evenings in your local area. You’ll be able to join sessions that suit your availability using our booking system or WhatsApp group.

We use quality 3G or AstroTurf pitches at local sports centres, schools, or community hubs. You’ll find your local league on the “Find a League” page.

Once you’re a member, you’ll be added to a WhatsApp group or receive an online booking link each week. Just confirm if you’re in for that week’s match.

Yes – we work with NHS health & wellbeing teams and social prescribers to offer football as a physical and mental health intervention. You can be referred by your GP or join directly.

We always encourage players to play at their own pace and respect others on the pitch. While Club45 promotes a friendly and safe playing environment, you take part at your own risk. We recommend stretching before games and seeking medical advice if you have any health concerns. If you're returning to football after a long break, consider speaking with your GP first.

We play small-sided games – usually 6–8 players per team depending on pitch size. This makes the game fast, fun, and inclusive for all ability levels.

Not at all. We welcome players of all fitness levels. Our sessions are about moving more, having fun, and enjoying the game – not intense competition.
